Hi, I’m Teka
This lovely boy is looking for the right family to welcome him into their home. He will need to meet any children in the household, as younger children may be a little overwhelming for him. While he can be vocal with other dogs, he has only met larger dogs while in care and may be better suited to a smaller companion, provided introductions go well. He has previously lived with a staffy. Having shown signs of kennel stress and anxiety, he would thrive in a calm environment with someone home most of the day. His new family should allow him indoors, give him plenty of time to settle, and gradually build up his confidence when left alone. Secure fencing is essential. In his previous home, he displayed possible resource guarding around food with another dog, so his new owners will need to monitor this and feed separately if another dog is present. He loves spending time with people and enjoys sitting on laps, making him a wonderful companion. His former owner noted that he was comfortable sleeping in a crate at night, which may help him feel secure in his new home.
